Head of Digital Custody Product Development, MD (hybrid)

Position OverviewThe Head of Digital Custody Product Development will be responsible for the development and implementation of State Street’s digital asset custody platform and the tokenisation of assets. This will include evolving the product development strategy, securing investment spend and leading programs of work. You will work with industry partners and specialists within the firm to realise the goals of the strategy, leading a team of digital custody specialists. A core part of the role will be working with the traditional custody product team to determine a convergence strategy for the business and ensure integration of products.The rapidity of change across Digital and Tokenized assets is significant and the successful candidate will be required to stay abreast of change and play a role in shaping the organisation’s thinking. Actions to integrate latest thinking into the development roadmap will require thoughtful steps to enable target architecture to be implemented against near term time to market goals. With such rapid evolution choosing the right focus areas will be key to your success and you will work with digital experts embedded across all of State Street’s products, including Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency and Cash to establish development priorities.Reporting into the Global Head of Custody and Head of State Street Digital you will also work alongside the Head of Custody Product Development and technology, operations, risk and architecture leads. Establishing strong partnership is integral to the success of the role. You will also participate in client calls to represent the development roadmap and work closely with the sales organisation to assist in specialist engagements.ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the Custody Product Executive to set the digital strategy for the business and required investmentDocument required capabilities and plans to build out tokenized custody solutionsOwn and lead the product development roadmap for the businessOwn the demand management process for the prioritisation of investment spend on an annual and 3 year rolling basisPartner closely with the Technology and Global Delivery organisation to lead change whilst assessing impact on the operating model and technology architectureWork with digital leads across State Street products to develop end to end solutions for clientsProvide regular update senior stakeholders and the Chief Product Officer of the firm on progress.Work with the Risk, Legal and Regulatory teams to embedded latest industry changes into the product development agenda and where required secure new business approvalsLead the data integration of tokenized and digital activity onto State Street’s strategic data platformSkillsDeep subject matter expertise of digital and tokenized custody products with a strong awareness of how these work together with the broader Custody product suiteExcellent Project Management skills with a proven track record of delivering large scales projects in complex operating environmentsPrior experience of successfully delivering change in a complex environmentProven change agent with an ability to prioritize new challenges against strategic goalsData expert with experience in modern data management techniquesBudget and finance skillsStrong stakeholder management skills with an ability to navigate organisation through the solution delivery cycleExcellent risk skills when assessing digital solutionsExperienceSeasoned MD/Executive Director with 10+ years experience in Securities ServicesWorked in Product organisations in similar rolesPrior experience working on Digital and Tokenized platformsPrior experience of leading large scale change programs including digital and tokenized solutionsIndustry profileAbout State StreetWhat we do.
