Head of Drama Teacher - Croydon

anzuk Education are partnering with a secondary school in the New Addington area of the London Borough of Croydon. The school converted to academy status on 1 June 2013 and is rated 'Good'.
The School:

Core curriculum is EBACC centric and all students, with the exception of those who need additional support with Literacy, study English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, World Views (RE), and Spanish

Head of Drama Teacher Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive drama lessons
  • Planning and implementing the drama curriculum
  • Promote a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages participation and promotes overall well-being
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the drama curriculum and contribute to extracurricular sports activities
  • The ideal head of drama Teacher will ensure a high standard of teaching and learning, tailored to the diverse needs of the students
  • The position is a full time starting as soon as possible until end of the 2024/25 school year
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary level
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum for drama
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for promoting participation in sport
  • Outer London Pay Scale and Team lead allowance
  • £40,318 to 56,959 base salary
