Head of Engineering / Deputy CTO - Hedge Fund - London

My client, a credit-focused Hedge Fund managing an impressive £5 billion in assets, seeks a Head of Engineering to aid the next phase in this organisation’s evolution. You will be entrusted with steering the technological infrastructure that underpins the fund's operations to new heights of efficiency and innovation. As well as leading a small team of skilled engineers, your responsibilities will include designing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions to optimise trading strategies, risk management, and data analysis. The incumbent will be tasked with ensuring the fund stays ahead of the curve in technology trends, ensuring that the systems remain robust, secure, and adaptive to market changes while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the engineering team. Working alongside the current CTO, and closely with the organisation's COO, you will have the ability to shape, sculpt, and ultimately decide the best course of action for this as they enter an aggressive growth period.We are looking for a hands-on leader, applicants should have Hedge Fund development experience, preferably from a leadership capacity.
