Orbis are partnered with a Wealth Management firm in London who offer a variety of services for high net-worth individuals and institutions, with a focus on helping them achieve their long-term financial goals through innovative solutions. This is a new, key hire for the company as they expand with recent high performance and looking to bring in a Head of Development to lead an engineering team consisting of 8 high performing engineers. You will play a key role in the growth of the team, with the aim to be at 16 by 2025. This will be around 20% hands-on, so some coding will be required. You'll also be responsible for: Day to day management and leadership of the team, reporting directly into the CTO Identify any technical inefficiencies in existing systems and provide solutions for improvement Drive implementation of automated testing and CI/CD principles to improve efficiency and performance Step in and deputise for the CTO when required Create development and progression plans for the development team to upskill and scale the team What you need: Proven experience successfully managing and leading engineering teams Previous experience as a software engineer High proficiency with Python , Django and any front end framework (ideally React ) Excellent communication skills This is a small, dynamic company, so experience working within a fast-paced start-up environment would be ideal.
