Are you an experienced manager with a passion for maintaining and enhancing world-class educational facilities? Eltham College is seeking a dedicated and visionary Head of Estates to oversee the maintenance and development of their beautiful and historic campus. Join the team and play a vital role in shaping an inspiring environment for students, staff, and visitors.

As Head of Estates, you will:

• Lead maintenance and development projects across the Eltham College Family of Schools.


• Manage and maintain multiple grass sports pitches for rugby, cricket, and football, as well as high-quality AstroTurf pitches for hockey, tennis, and netball.


• Ensure compliance, servicing, and contract management, maintaining legal responsibilities and records.


• Oversee major development schemes, performance monitoring, budget management, and the maintenance of property records.


• Develop a 3-5 year maintenance strategy, scheduling contractors, and advising on multi-million-pound development projects.


• Lead a team to deliver outstanding facilities for the Family of Schools and local clubs.


• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and task delegation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy and Planning:


• Develop and implement a long-term maintenance strategy.


• Schedule and oversee major repairs and development schemes.


• Formulate annual maintenance and ground works calendars.


• Ensure high standards of grounds and facilities for all users.

Compliance:

• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with health and safety requirements.


• Conduct structural and condition surveys, providing expert advice.


• Stay updated on legal and statutory developments related to estates and building projects.
