About the role We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our team to cover a period of Maternity leave for 12 months (with potential to extend). Reporting into the Managing Director, this role will lead on all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across our global offices (UK and Dubai), as well as supporting our UK finance team. Working closely with our Leadership team, this role will play a pivotal role in steering our financial and strategic planning, and providing guidance on improvements, risks, and opportunities across all territories. Outline of Responsibilities Financial Management Implement and maintain effective financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure sound financial management practices, mitigating financial risks, and safeguarding company assets. Ensure strong financial compliance and robust controls are in place Continual forecasting and analysis of the company s financial performance Management of company bank accounts, including xe accounts, UK and Dubai accounts and making all payments on behalf of the company Preparation of quarterly forecasts including monthly re-forecasts and annual budgets/long-range plans Cash Flow management for our Dubai and UK entities, including the review of individual company cash-flows and consolidation into the group cash-flow on a monthly basis Providing advice to the MD to improve reporting, compliance and implementing said change Work with the MD to deliver on expansion plans into additional territories, ensuring the compliance and statutory elements are in place across the Group Lead financial due diligence for new clients and strategic partnerships, working to implement Know Your Customer (KYC) and Due Diligence (DD) processes Leading on year-end and liaising with external accountants to deliver on company accounts Business Finance Partnering Monitoring all project closes, sales invoicing, recharging, profit analysis Working alongside Department Heads Identification and implementation of financial knowledge in the company to allow the team to deliver their work, such as advising on costings and tax implications for working in other territories such as WHT policies, European VAT landscape analysis Team Management Management of a small finance team Payroll and Operational Finance Ensuring all payments to HMRC and FTA are on time and correct Overseeing monthly payroll for all contracted staff in UK and Dubai Management of operational and financial elements in Dubai including, payroll, rental agreements, Corporate Tax and company account filing, VAT returns, WPS submissions. Engage and manage external support services such as UAE accountants, international tax accountants, Dubai employment company, transfer pricing advisors. About you ESSENTIAL Based in/ around either London or Castle Donington, UK Professional finance qualification - ACCA, AAT, CIMA, ACA Experience of working within the live events / music industry / entertainment industry A working knowledge of UK compliance and accounting processes Experienced Head of Finance / Finance Manager with a proven background in managing month-end and year-end processes The ability to interpret and communicate financial information Comfortable presenting financial information to C Suite stakeholders Experience in payroll management Set up group finance processes, including implementing group P&L reports Excellent up-to-date knowledge of changes to financial guidance and legislation Experience being hands-on in all aspects of financial activities and control Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and influence as well as having the confidence to challenge current practices appropriately Able to troubleshoot independently DESIRABLE A working knowledge of GCC compliance and accounting processes Experience of working in a rapidly expanding company Proficient in using G-Suite SALARY Dependent on whether based in our London or Midlands office London: £70,000 (pro rata) Midlands: £65,000 (pro rata) CONTRACT TYPE Full time, 12 months fixed-term contract (maternity cover) but with the possibility to extend LOCATION London (Central) or East Midlands (Castle Donington) based, with an ability to travel to either office on a daily basis with occasional working from home; travel as required per project INCLUDED IN THE ROLE Holiday allowance: 25 days, plus National UK Holidays Healthy Living Allowance - we proactively support our team to feel their best and provide the opportunity to apply for monthly contributions towards their favorite physical activities or subscriptions Annual FAB team events, with seasonal celebration events Sociable office environment with frequent team social events (yes we do really like each other!)
