Head of Finance Systems

The Role... As the Head of Finance Systems you will be part of the IT Team, particularly focused on delivering projects that support the Finance directorate, leading on the Finance business transformation, improving controls, and delivering efficiencies. This is a critical mid-senior role in a fast-paced environment. You will support the design and implementation of all new projects for the Finance business, therefore you need to have strong experience of IT project delivery, functional and technical understanding of finance systems, and a good grasp of necessary business processes and compliance in these areas. Soho House's ambition is to move to an ERP to meet global needs. In this context, you will deliver a 2-year program to transform the directorates, in collaboration with business leads, your team and vendors, ensuring time, cost and quality are controlled. It is vital that communication to direct management and the business leads is appropriate and timely. You will be required to advise and guide your team on solutions and project plans, and play an active hands-on role through all phases of delivery. The role will be based at the London Support Office and reports directly to the Director of IT, with whom you will work to deliver the programmes underway as well as new activities that are identified to support the goals of the company to transform this crucial business function. This is a role that requires an individual who can work independently and take accountability, as the roadmap for this area is ambitious over the next 2-3 years. Main Duties... Full accountability for transforming finance systems, whilst maintaining SOx compliance Ensure business goals are balanced with cost and quality Work collaboratively with the business departments, Digital and IT team, including C-level leaders. Guide and lead a small team to successfully deliver projects to desired and agreed business outcomes Manage third parties/vendors to deliver to cost and quality as required, taking remediation actions as needed Ensure communication is timely and accurate for IT management as well as business stakeholders Manage programme governance as agreed with leadership What We Are Looking For... Familiar with vendor and system integrator (SI) selection and management Able to propose pragmatic solutions, as we are a cost-conscious business Broad echnology knowledge and experience Experience of ERP implementation in a delivery or management position Familiar with SOx compliance and controls Enforce sound design principles Excel in large scale program management, with required familiarity with the discipline A change champion Experience working within a global team Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to get the job done Able to communicate effectively and credibly Familiar with, and able to work effectively with, large consulting and audit companies Experienced in large systems integration Benefits...
