£55,000 - £60,000 per annum FTE
Contract:
Full-time, Permanent would consider 4 days
McBride Sport is representing a prominent London charity dedicated to promoting physical activity and sport. We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead the financial operations and support the charity’s mission to foster a healthier, more active community.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Finance Function: Manage a small team, oversee the year-end process, budget setting, and external audits.
Financial Reporting: Produce monthly management accounts, reporting, and variance analysis.
Treasury Management: Handle all bank accounts, credit cards, and strategic financial planning.
Grants and Fund Management: Oversee grants, funder budgets, reporting requirements, and contribute to tender production.
Senior Leadership Support: Assist the COO with financial reporting for various committees and the Senior Leadership Team.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, statutory, and regulatory obligations related to finance and tax.
Process Improvement: Maintain and update finance processes, policies, and IT systems.
Employee Support: Assist employees with general finance enquiries and tasks.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Head of Finance role within a similar-sized charity or not for profit organisation.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including charity compliance and UK accounting standards.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Commitment to the charity’s values, including equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Lived experience of day-to-day life in London is desirable.
