The role This role will provide financial guidance and leadership to the STN Executive Leadership Team (STN Exec SLT), which consists of the Finance Director (FD), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Airports & Asset Delivery Officer (CAADO), and People Director. The role will establish strong relationships with their teams and support their decision making with high quality financial reporting, analysis, and recommendations, while ensuring sound financial controls and accurate reporting. Reporting to and deputising for the Finance Director and working with the STN finance team, the role will coordinate, consolidate and explain the financial performance of the airport, covering; - monthly financial results including operating metrics and KPI s, - short- and medium-term forecasts - medium- and long-term business plans - Practical implementation of strategy, identification of business risks and opportunities and providing corrective advice and support through numbers This role will require the successful candidate to embody MAG s company values and leadership behaviours to foster a culture of high performance within the STN finance team and across the organisation, including leadership, engagement, and diversity. What will make you successful in the role? To excel in this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience in a variety of finance roles in large organisations, preferably in a FT250 type environment. You will have a track record of working in both financial planning and analysis and financial control functions and be able to demonstrate your business development and commercial skills, as well as your cost management and control expertise. You will also have experience in business transformation and growth, including mergers and acquisitions, and be able to adapt to different cultures and values. You will have strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be able to partner with multiple business lines and streams in a matrix structure. You will be proficient in financial reporting, management accounting, system dashboard/KPIs, and financial modelling, and have knowledge of SAP or similar accounting systems. You will also be comfortable interacting with and deputising for senior stakeholders and directors, up to the level of Finance Director, and be a role model leadership behaviours and MAG values. We offer a hybrid working model, requiring 3 days a week in the office, and flexible hours within those three days.
