Head of Finance

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Head of Finance to join a medium sized manufacturing business based in Southampton, we are seeking a future CFO. Our client has a unique brand offering, a strong 'order book' and backing to enable it to double in size over the next three years. Reporting with CEO, the Head of Finance will manage the day to day running of the finance function, ensuring strong financial controls providing a platform for growth. The Head of Finance, will also oversee the FP&A process and support the CEO will all commercial activities across the business. Key Responsibilitie will include: Providing accurate insight on financial performance into the business for the senior management team Maintaining and coordinating the management / financial accounting, management reporting and budgeting activities Leading on finance change projects (including, processes, ERP systems etc) and providing regular progress update to senior management Developing a finance team to become best in class whilst delivering the above Fostering commercial relationships with other functions of the business Maitaining strong relationships with external third parties including, auditors and banking providers Supporting the preparation of three year plan with CEO and owners Monitoring overhead expenditure and business cases for investment decisions Supporting bid team in reviewing tender documents Analysis and due dilligence work on acqusitions, and post acquisition integration Person Criteria Strong academics ACA/CA/CIMA Qualified with at least 5 years post qualifiied experience in industry Advanced MS Excel and Financial Modelling Skills Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with ability to work with different disciplines Commercial awareness Emotional Intelligence An eye for detail Comfortable being office based at least 4 days a week
