Head of Front End Development - Fintech

Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer (Fintech)Location: London (Hybrid Working)Salary: Up to £110,000 per annum + possible EquityRole Overview: We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience. You will work closely with our backend developers, product managers, and designers to create robust, scalable, and high-performing frontend solutions using modern technologies like TypeScript, React.js, and GraphQL.Key Responsibilities:Develop and Maintain: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable frontend code using TypeScript, React.js, and GraphQL.Collaborate: Work closely with backend developers, product managers, and designers to implement versatile solutions that meet business needs.Optimize: Identify performance bottlenecks and come up with novel ways to improve the user experience.Code Quality: Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications by writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.Mentorship: Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our products are built with the best possible tools and techniques.Required Skills & Experience:Frontend Development: Strong experience in frontend development, specifically with TypeScript and React.js.GraphQL: Proficiency in using GraphQL for data fetching and state management.Web Technologies: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).Testing: Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or similar.Responsive Design: Experience in building responsive and user-friendly web applications.Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control.Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Desirable Skills:UI/UX Design: Basic understanding of UI/UX principles.CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.State Management: Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
