Role Overview:
As the Head of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR strategies to support our mission and vision. Reporting to the Orri Executive, you will be responsible for the full HR remit, ensuring alignment with CQC requirements for a regulated healthcare environment. This includes overseeing operational HR, recruitment, talent management, learning and development, performance management, organisational development, communications, succession planning, employee value proposition development, and employee engagement.
Main Duties:
HR Strategy:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational goals and CQC requirements.
Contribute to organisational development strategies to support growth and expansion.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive directors and senior management teams.
Deliver HR services that are informed by workforce data analytics.
HR Operations:
Manage day-to-day HR operations, including starters, leavers, absence (sickness, maternity etc), flexible working requests, employee queries, line manager support, payroll and general employee relations activities.
Provide expert employee relations advice within Orri, providing advice and guidance whilst balancing risk and HR best practise.
Problem-solve and identify practical solutions to employee relations issues.
Lead on complex and sensitive casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, redundancy and performance issues.
Maintain and develop the exit interview process.
Ensure managers are sufficiently skilled and enabled to access appropriate guidance and information to manage workforce issues.
Implement a plan for diversity, equality and inclusion that aligns with Orri strategy and values; working closely with the groups DEI Lead on this.
Talent Management and Recruitment:
Lead talent management initiatives, focusing on attracting, retaining and developing a skilled clinical and support team workforce.
Lead the end-to-end recruitment processes, including workforce planning, sourcing, oversight of the interview process and onboarding.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand workforce needs.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement an effective performance management strategy with supporting policies and procedures.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.
Compliance:
Develop and implement robust HR policies, processes and practices that support Orri and our workforce.
Ensure that Orri complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards and legislation (including data protection, the Equality Act and Health and Safety requirements.)
Ensure employment contracts and other employee documentation and policies are kept up-to-date with current UK employment legislation.
Ensure HR compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations including CQC inspection standards.
Desired skills and expertise:
CIPD level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a senior HR role within a regulated health or social care environment.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
Strong understanding of HR-related CQC requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Evidenced experience in developing and implementing HR strategies.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational responsibilities.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm
