Strong exposure to the Oil and Gas industryOpportunity to join one of the UKs largest Oil & Gas ProvidersAbout Our ClientOur client is a UK provider of Gas & Oil with a Global Portfolio.Job DescriptionYou will also be accountable for the delivery of operational services globally that are consistently measured and evaluated to ensure operational excellence, and value driven delivery incorporating continuous improvement. Key responsibilities for this role are as follows:Build and maintain a high performing team that delivers Infrastructure services including platform, cloud, network, end user computing and service delivery globallyDesign, create, and oversee a cohesive IT Service Management (ITSM) environment that aligns with industry best practices, established processes, and relevant toolsetsEnsure the adoption of (and commitment towards) service improvements aligned to a continuous improvement planFoster innovative capabilities within the team that drive a competitive advantage and boost productivityContinuously evaluate the performance of I&O, including the use of metrics such as Key Performance Indicators, Outcome Driven Metrics and Objectives and Key ResultsShape the infrastructure and operations sourcing strategy based on a comprehensive understanding of the supplier landscapeCultivate successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, build an understanding of business needs and act as a trusted advisorSupport periodic reviews by audit teams, compliance teams, and other risk-related functions as necessaryDevelop technology road-maps for key service lines aligned to IS strategy and business objectives, while staying informed about industry trends and provide input in to incorporating emerging technologies in to IS service provision aligned to the IS strategyWork closely with Global IS Projects and IS Transformation manager around global service sustainment and evergreening of the IS estate, while ensuring support is aligned to deliverablesCollaborate with Global IS Security to ensure I&O actively contributes, embraces, and applies security strategiesManage the I&O Budget and promote a culture of continuous cost review and optimisationMay be required to provide out-of-hours support via an on-call rota duty manager rotaThe Successful ApplicantKey details include:Experience in developing strategies and technology roadmapsBuild cloud management solutions, including software development, integration, and ongoing engineering aspectsApply AI / ML to solve large data challenges and / or to enhance the customer experienceBudget planning and financial management, preferably with prior experience in chargeback modelsDeep understanding of current and emerging I&O technologies and practices, and how other enterprises are employing themEstablish and improve DevOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL)Third-party management, working closely with sourcing and vendor managersLeading cloud adoption (at scale), including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects and modifying I&O's target operating modelDeveloping governance practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plansStrong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business unitsConsolidating operations capabilities in large, complex enterprise organisations to deliver improved efficiency, while balancing customer preferences for agilityExcellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skillsDevelop staff including coaching, mentoring and performance managementMaximize effectiveness of nearshore / offshore resource modelsWhat's on OfferThis role is offering:Base salary up to 120,400 per annum30% Bonus, Private medical, excellent pension plus moreHybrid working - 3 days on site near VictoriaGenerous AL allowanceContactHenry HayesQuote job refJN-072024-6490981Phone number+44 207 269 2341Job summaryJob functionTechnologySubsectorIT ManagementSectorBusiness ServicesLocationLondonContract typePermanentConsultant nameHenry HayesConsultant phone+44 207 269 2341Job referenceJN-072024-6490981
