The Role
As Head of Restart Operations, you will be directly responsible for the effective performance for the DWP Restart Contract across Wales, supporting unemployed people into sustainable employment. This includes ensuring that all actions are taken to ensure this contract is delivered to agreed quality, compliance, and performance standards and within budget.
You will have direct line management responsibility for the Senior Operations Team and respective Team members and numerous offices across Wales, delivering Restart so the ability to manage a dispersed team is a must.
You will also be responsible for scheduling of resources, performance management, identifying skills gaps and training needs, monitoring KPI’s, ensuring ongoing development of the business and managing expenditure, budgets and forecasting.
Have you got what it takes?
You will be a confident and dynamic manager, with experience managing dispersed senior teams within the welfare to work sector. A proven background in handling major change/ complex projects and overachieving of business targets. You will also have the ability to demonstrate your understanding of the design and implementation of complex operational processes across multiple teams and contracts.
Due to the nature of this role, some travel across the UK will be necessary on occasion. The ability to speak Welsh and a relevant degree/ qualification would be beneficial but not essential if you have a demonstrative experience within the sector.
