Head of Policy

An exciting and dynamic start up looking for a Head of Policy to help support the UK gas networks transition to net-zero.
Responsibilities:
Lead development and implementation of strategic policy in response to government directives.
Understand how the new government policies influence the clean energy sector.
Monitor emerging policies and updated advice to gas networks.
Managing response to policy changes.
Facilitate and manage consultation meetings with stakeholders and government bodies.
Produce written material and documents including policy briefs, consultations responses and position papers.
Be a key advisor to the CEO, managing team meetings and overseeing internal dynamics.
Experience and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in policy development and management, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
Strong understanding of economic principles, with basic knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce analytical, evidence-based materials.
Proven ability to lead and influence in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Ability to work closely with senior leadership and lead and mentor junior team members.
Passion for driving the net-zero transition.
