Head of Procurement

Job DescriptionSRM Recruitment are working with a leading brand, looking to recruit a Head of Procurement to build a best-in-class function to support the business. They are currently in the midst of a transformation, which has resulted in this exciting opportunity to lead and structure the team and strategy.Whilst they are already a market leader in the industry, they have ambitious long term growth plans. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of building from the ground up, strives for continuous improvement and enjoys developing their team. You will be a senior manager within the business who will become a trusted partner to other department heads and implement the strategy across all UK and European sites to create a centralised, fit for purpose function for the business.The role: Coach and mentor the current team of 4 with a view to increasing this to 10 Lead the department to become a trusted function within the business operationally supporting all sites across EuropeManage the delivery of the full procurement lifecycleAssessing and managing new and existing suppliers, regularly updating the PSL to ensure quality as well as reliable supply chain operationsOverseeing all commercial governance processes and management of all live contractsImplement and promote procurement and supply chain best practice throughout the businessScope 3 Emissions reportingAct as a trusted partner for all stakeholders, ensuring the function partners with them to deliver the overall strategyIn order to be successful in the role, we are looking for:Previous experience in procurement transformation and/or sustainable procurementMinimum 10 years of applicable experience working at a senior level A degree related to one of the following; Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management or similar disciplinesHas achieved at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and SupplyOther details:HertfordshireHybrid (3 days min in the office per week)Salary up to £100,000 + 25% BonusAccess to excellent company benefits This vacancy is being advertised by SRM Recruitment - Welwyn Garden City office.If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar, please contact our Senior Consultant Lizzie Burgess directly for a confidential discussion.Our Welwyn Garden City team specialise in permanent, temporary & contract roles in Accountancy & Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Creative, Office Support and Procurement & Supply Chain.
