Job Description:
Position:
Head of Product
Location:
Scotland - Glasgow office, Hybrid
Salary:
Highly Competitive plus Equity
What you will be doing:
Refining and owning the Product Roadmap; reflecting the founders’ vision, customer insights and business strategy
Initially, working directly with developers to deliver on the Roadmap with a view to building out the Product team
Setting and upholding a product development quality standard, ensuring that the team can be proud of any new developments brought to market
Setting and driving a product development cadence that strikes the appropriate balance of cost/speed to market vs value-add to make sure the team maintains focus and pace
Being deeply interested in the customers’ point of view and running user research as appropriate
Supporting recruitment activities to build out the Product team
Supporting other teams and functions including Growth and Customer Success to deliver a consistent product experience from first customer point of contact to delivery and retention
What we are looking for:
Experience working within an early-stage startup or similar environment where there are high levels of ambiguity and a rapid pace of new product development, with a small team
1 - 3 years’ leadership experience leading a mix of team members including designers and product managers
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and visual) with an ability to lead and progress discussions with a wide range of different stakeholders
Strong product design skills built from a background as a Product Designer
High level of data literacy, especially the ability to communicate data
Strong bias for action, including the ability to see ways to break up ambitious goals into deliverable, iterative and testable pieces
A self-starter who is effective at being both hands-on and leading a team; and is comfortable wearing multiple hats (product manager, designer and researcher)
Nice to haves:
Experience working with a B2B SaaS product
Experience with the ESG regulatory environment
Experience planning, conducting and drawing insights from user-research
