ABOUT THE ROLE



An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this successful Manchester business to support in it's continued growth and expansion. The business wishes to strengthen their team with an established Senior Buyer to head up their seasonal category.





The Head of Seasonal will be responsible for:




  • Buying, Sourcing and Developing of branded ranges in order to deliver sales and profit targets

  • Translating and delivering category strategy, helping to achieve profitable growth

  • Own and support the delivery of agreed KPIs (sales, margin, stock availability) inline with category strategy

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, price positioning and to react appropriately to maximise sales, profitability and market share

  • Lead and develop strong supplier relationships in the Far East

  • Establishing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Act as a coach by managing the team on your category, regularly assessing individuals' performance and giving feedback where appropriate





ABOUT THE CANDIDATE



The client is looking for a highly commercial individual who is used to working in fast paced, high pressure environments and is familiar with working to tight deadlines. It is essential that you have the ability to understand the customer and what makes great product for them



To be considered you must have experience of:




  • Buying at team management level

  • Sourcing and developing product ranges working with Far East suppliers - from concept through to delivery

  • Previous seasonal category experience

  • Ability to analyse complex data from multiple sources to drive decisions and strategies

  • Ability to identify market trends and opportunities, at pace

  • Financially astute understands how own business decisions can influence shareholder value.





ABOUT THE CLIENT





The client is based in Manchester and operates within the Retail/Wholesale space. They are predominantly office based. You must live within commutable distance to be considered
