Role Responsible and accountable for driving GFS (including related Capital Markets & Treasury) new business development across Continental Europe in existing locations (i.e. Switzerland, Nordics, Netherlands, Luxembourg) and new markets (i.e. Spain, Portugal, Italy etc.) . This role will report to the Head of GFO EMEA and APAC. The incumbent will also be a standing member of the GFO EMEA Executive Committee. The role is a leadership role within the Sales function and will be responsible for building out a sales team to support the expected growth the business development within Continental Europe. The role is responsible for managing others and will include hiring, performance reviews, pay decisions and development. Major Duties : Key GFO EMEA Sales responsibilities: Managing EMEA GFO Wealth Strategists/Targets as GFO Sales Team Leader Managing EMEA Sales Associates to support success of Wealth Strategists Contributing to GFO growth strategy and leading GFO new business Responsibility for achieving a new business sales target of 5m+ (of which 1m+ should be personal contribution as player/coach) Working with GFO Regional MD, EMEA & APAC to maximise business growth and effectiveness Leading and managing regional Sales campaigns (eg UK/CE) Leading regional Marketing & Events in collaboration with GFO Head of Relationship Management EMEA Leading coordination of Centres of Influence (COI's) strategy and relationships Supporting Product development to underpin competitiveness (eg Alternatives) in collaboration with GFO Head of Asset Servicing In addition to the above GFO EMEA Sales responsibilities, this role would also have extended responsibility for the following United Kingdom (UK) Switzerland (CH) specific business development activities: United Kingdom (UK) Switzerland (CH) Business Development role responsibilities: Working with GFO Executive Leadership team expand existing client base in both jurisdictions Accountability for annual UK and Swiss Net Business Targets Knowledge: Growth strategy and strategic planning Client Retention and Growth Business development Leading and managing sales campaigns Product development Developing and maintaining client relationships Event planning and organization Building, managing and developing teams Experience: Minimum of 7 years of financial sales experience Management experience Working with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
