We are a global agency with a presence and roster of talent in both the UK and US that is currently rapidly expanding.ROLE SUMMARY:The Head of Talent will play a pivotal role in managing a select group of influencers, leading a team of dedicated staff, spearheading business development and growth initiatives, and overseeing the operational and procedural aspects of the agency. This role also involves deputising for the founder, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations in her absence. FARQ prides itself on selecting the very best influencers, and we need someone exceptional to head up our business.This role will report directly to our Founder, Georgia Farquharson.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Talent Management:- Directly manage a portfolio of (4-7) influencers, providing strategic guidance to enhance their brand presence, career growth & increase volume and value of brand collaborations.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with influencers, understanding their goals and aligning them with suitable opportunities.- Negotiate contracts, partnerships, and collaborations on behalf of your roster of influencers, as well as supporting the wider FARQ team in this area, including providing training & constructive feedback.- Be wider ‘caretaker’ to our whole portfolio of creators - including both UK and US.- Head up the Education side of our business by organising and facilitating monthly virtual seminars with both our UK and US roster of talent. This could include both leading the seminars along with sourcing outside experts. Team Leadership:- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talent managers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.- Be the day-to-day point of contact for staff - ensuring all deadlines are met, communication is clear & everyone is aligned on the path forward, pivoting quickly when necessary.- Conduct regular quarterly performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to keep the team at the top of their game.- See below for Team Leadership responsibilities in more detail Business Development:- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the agency's portfolio of influencers, clients and niches.- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, brands, and partners.- Continue to solidify FARQ as a key player in the Creator Economy.Operations and Processes:- Oversee the daily operations of the agency to ensure everything runs like a well-oiled machine.- Develop and implement processes and best practices to keep things efficient and compliant.- Use data to make smart decisions and optimise our operations.Deputising for the Founder:- Step in for the founder when needed, managing day-to-day operations and strategic projects.- Represent FARQ at high-level meetings, industry events, and with key stakeholders.- Ensure smooth leadership and decision-making when the founder is away.******Team Leadership Responsibilities in more detail:Team Management:Direct Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talent managers and support staff, ensuring alignment with the agency’s strategic goals and objectives.Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals and expectations, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as necessary.Hiring and Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process to attract top talent, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, fostering a welcoming and inclusive team culture.Communication : Provide regular updates to Georgia on project status, key milestones, and any potential issues. Ensure that Georgia is kept informed of progress through weekly reports, email updates, and scheduled meetings. Proactively communicate any challenges or delays and propose solutions to address them.Training and Development:Professional Growth: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members, facilitating professional development through workshops, seminars, and continued education.Skill Enhancement: Organise regular training sessions to enhance the skills of the team, focusing on industry trends, talent management techniques, and business development strategies.Team Collaboration:Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as the social team, finance and operations, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on company goals.Team Meetings: Lead regular team meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and share updates, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration.Resource Management:Workload Distribution: Allocate resources and delegate tasks effectively to ensure a balanced workload across the team, optimising efficiency and productivity.Conflict Resolution:Mediation: Address and resolve any conflicts within the team promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.Support: Provide support to team members in handling difficult situations with influencers or clients, offering guidance and solutions.Motivation and Engagement:Incentive Programs: Develop and implement incentive programs to motivate and engage team members, recognising and rewarding outstanding performance and contributions.Team Building: Organise team-building activities, socials and events to strengthen team cohesion and morale.Strategic Input:Vision and Strategy: Contribute to the development of the agency’s overall vision and strategy, bringing insights from the team to inform decision-making.Innovation: Encourage a culture of innovation within the team, promoting creative thinking and the adoption of new tools and technologies to improve talent management practices.Reporting and Documentation:Progress Reports: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.Documentation: Ensure that all team activities and processes are well-documented and that records are maintained accurately and securely.******QUALIFICATIONS & PERSON SPECIFICATION:- Proven experience in talent management, preferably within the influencer or celebrity/ entertainment industry. 5 years minimum.- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.- Demonstrated success in business development and growing a company's client base and revenue.- Exceptional operational and organisational skills with an ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.- Proactive and action-oriented - not waiting to be told to do something- Fine ability to see the 30,000 foot view and be in the weeds, while figuring out how to marry the two for a clear way forward with identifiable next steps.- Solutions oriented - Bringing solutions to problems- Innovative, driven by the excitement of possibility - Being assertive to help managers become better - Type A with a flair for the creative - Passionate about seeking out opportunities - Understanding this is not a typical 9-5 Monday-Friday job.
