Our client is looking to employ a Head Pig Stockperson for their farm in North Yorkshire (YO51).
They have a 300-sow breeding-to-finishing indoor pig unit. The family have been in pigs for over 30 years and has invested in good modern buildings for the future.
They are looking for a senior stockperson who can manage themselves and continue the excellent performance of the unit.
Candidates will ideally have:
Experience with pig husbandry across all aspects - Especially farrowing and dry sows
Good communication skills
Good record keeping
Be able to work in a team
Demonstrate a strong work ethic with great attention to detail
High welfare standards
Salary guide: £36,000 - £38,000 DOE
Plus: A three-bedroom house in the local village.
