Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a well-regarded specialist interior contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The company turnover in excess of �35 million delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions across a variety of projects. This role will be working alongside a team of safety professionals on a range of sites, but based from their manufacturing facility in Ipswich.

The successful candidate will be a team player who will play a crucial role in developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing expert guidance to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Visiting sites and engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires
• Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in Health and Safety performance

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Experience in a similar role ideally within construction, fit out or refurbishment
• Hold or working towards NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and ideally hold a membership of IOSH
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
