Job Role: Health & Safety Co-Ordinator Salary: £27,000 - £28,500Location: Wolverhampton Type: Full Time / PermanentOverviewEverest People Solutions are recruiting for a Health & Safety Co-Ordinator To assist the Health and Safety Manager and the business in a supportive role concerning occupational health, safety, and environmental matters. As Health & Safety Coordinator you will collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager, service providers, and teams to ensure the effective delivery of various operational health and safety activities, including health surveillance.Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Health & Safety Co-Ordinator Serve as the primary contact for Operational teams, coordinating with departments to schedule and oversee health surveillance programs that enhance occupational health services.Manage outcomes from Occupational Health Surveillance in collaboration with the HR team, consult with OH Physicians/Nurses as needed, advise Managers on outcomes and restrictions, and oversee the implementation and closure of cases.Provide the Health & Safety Manager with key management information, including accident trends, reportable incidents/illnesses to HSE, training attendance, and other relevant data.Interpret Health & Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a consistent approach across the business.Work closely with Health & Safety colleagues embedded in Services to share information and maintain a unified approach.Assist in various projects by applying Health & Safety skills both individually and as part of a team.Support the Health & Safety Manager with tasks such as prioritizing occupational health, handling referrals, managing health and safety contracts, reviewing SOPs, and conducting risk assessments.Conduct research and analysis to develop effective proposals and solutions, and report on these findings to the Health & Safety Manager.Promote and drive the company’s health and safety culture.Requirements for the Health & Safety Co-Ordinator Educated to at least a higher level or equivalentExperience working in an Occupational Health environmentProfessional experience in a Health & Safety settingIOSH Managing Safely certificationKnowledgeable and confident in advising on Health & Safety issuesCapable of presenting issues clearly and concisely, with strong influencing skillsWell-developed communication and interpersonal abilitiesEffective in high-pressure situationsStrong organizational skillsAble to handle conflict situations effectivelyCapable of responding calmly to unexpected demands and maintaining high standardsReliable, flexible, adaptable, and committedProficient in both spoken and written EnglishNEBOSH General Certificate is desirable Knowledge of RIDDOR / accident reporting is desirable
