Health and Safety LeadSomersetCirca £550 per day (Inside IR35)Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading construction and industrial services organisation across the Energy sector space to recruit a Health and Safety Lead. The company are multifaceted, and this role will work on a large infrastructure construction project in the Somerset area. The organisation is looking for someone with excellent management skills and proven experience in leading and developing a team. This role will take place on site full time, 5 days per week.Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Lead will include:Managing a team of Health and Safety Advisors to ensure they can achieve the efficient and effective delivery of the health and safety across the siteLead and focus on the coaching and development of the safety teamConducting gap analysis to identify root cause and implementing recommendations to prevent reoccurrenceAuditing and reporting on health and safety performanceConstantly assessing opportunities for health and safety improvements and sharing best practice across the siteThe successful Health and Safety Lead will have:Proven experience in a similar role ideally within construction, heavy engineering or a related industryHold a NEBOSH Certificate, and ideally another level 6 health and safety qualification, or be a Certified Member of IOSH (CertIOSH) statusSecurity Clearance and CSCS Black Card is desirableExperience operating at site influencing and engaging key stakeholdersA NEBOSH / NCRQ certificate or equivalentThis position will require an individual who is passionate about health and safety and high performance.
