The Company: A busy healthcare manufacturing site located in West London, dedicated to producing high-quality medicinal products.





Job Description: Currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join the team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the manufacturing processes, managing traffic and hazardous substances, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.





Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate measures are in place to mitigate risks.

  • Oversee the management of hazardous substances and ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal.

  • Manage traffic within the manufacturing site to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.

  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Liaise with external health and safety authorities and agencies as required.





Qualifications and Experience:




  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Health and Safety role within a manufacturing setting.

  • Proven experience in managing traffic and hazardous substances.

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
