The Company: A busy healthcare manufacturing site located in West London, dedicated to producing high-quality medicinal products.
Job Description: Currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join the team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the manufacturing processes, managing traffic and hazardous substances, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate measures are in place to mitigate risks.
* Oversee the management of hazardous substances and ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal.
* Manage traffic within the manufacturing site to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Liaise with external health and safety authorities and agencies as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Health and Safety role within a manufacturing setting.
* Proven experience in managing traffic and hazardous substances.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
