Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to across our sites. The role involves promoting a safe working environment, developing and implementing policies, conducting site inspections, and providing guidance on health and safety matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits for compliance.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
- Provide advice on risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
- Deliver training and inductions to employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and prepare reports with recommendations.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance.
- Stay updated with changes in health and safety legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management within the construction industry, focusing on fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Membership in IOSH or a similar professional body is desirable.
