Health and Safety Manager A large-scale manufacturer based just outside Lisburn is currently seeking a proactive and analytical Health & Safety Manager to join their team. Reporting to the HR Lead, the successful candidate will ensure that Health and Safety remains a key priority across all areas, supporting continuous improvement, and aiming for an accident-free, safe working environment. On Offer Salary: £50,000 Benefits: 33 days annual leave 14% Pension Healthcare Early finish Friday Onsite parking Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation, keeping up to date with developments and ensuring company compliance. Train line managers and other relevant personnel in respect of legislative requirements. Ensure employees can perform their duties in a safe environment, protected from hazards, taking direct action to prevent potential accidents or incidents. Analyse statistics to identify underlying trends and patterns. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments in all areas and on all machinery and equipment. Essential Criteria: Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Nebosh or NVQ) or equivalent. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of Health and Safety management improvement systems & techniques. Ability to research and understand Health and Safety legislation and guidelines. Experience producing risk assessments and carrying out H&S audits. Previous experience liaising with regulators, such as HSENI. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge and experience of working with ISO 45001. People management experience. Experience interacting with insurers regarding liability claims.
