About the Role

As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and insightful lessons to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for future careers in health and social care. You’ll play a vital role in guiding students through the curriculum, fostering both their academic success and their understanding of critical issues related to health, wellbeing, and community care.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering Quality Lessons: Planning and delivering engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons that inspire students to achieve their potential.
• Curriculum Development: Adapting and innovating the curriculum to ensure it remains relevant, current, and aligned with industry standards.
• Student Support: Providing guidance and support to students, monitoring their progress, and encouraging their academic and personal development.
• Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each student's holistic growth and success.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism or strong background in Health and Social Care.
• Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 is preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the current Health and Social Care curriculum.
• Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students with a variety of teaching methods and resources.
