Zachary Daniels Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this market leading business in the appointment of an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Business Partner to join their growing team.
Reporting into the Group Head of Health, Safety and Environment you will work as part of a small but growing team to successfully cultivate and embed a robust Health, Safety and Environment culture whilst advancing organisational knowledge.
The role will involve:
- Support leaders in developing, implementing, and driving the HSE strategy and vision within operational frameworks.
- Assume responsibility for incident reporting and investigations, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when necessary.
- Provide management with HSE performance statistics and trend analyses, utilising data to mitigate risks and drive positive change.
- Coach, develop, and deliver comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental training to leaders and operational teams.
- Facilitate the successful implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, continuously improving HSE systems.
- Develop, implement, and embed Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and support emergency preparedness plans for all sites.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure the adoption of best practices in Safety and Sustainability.
About you:
- Previous experience as a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator, Officer or Advisor
- Ideally, possession of a NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Membership with IOSH and/or IIRSM at the Technician level.
- Understanding of Environmental awareness, with a relevant qualification preferred.
- Preferably certified as an internal auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
- Strong prioritisation and organisational abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Please note that this role will require some semi regular travel to other sites in the Midlands.
