Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a specialist manufacturer to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer for their Birmingham site. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the team on-site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Officer will include:

• Promoting a positive health and safety culture, engaging with employees at all levels
• Conducting site inspections and audits to identify hazards and support continuous improvement
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Supporting the site with risk assessments, incident investigations, and training initiatives

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Officer will have:

• Some experience in a health and safety role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment
• A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others
• A proactive and hands-on approach to health and safety
