Responsibilities of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor will include:

  • Promoting a culture of safety and compliance across operations and sites, ensuring adherence to UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Supporting the creation and delivery of the HSE strategy alongside the Head of HSE.
  • Conducting and reviewing risk assessments and updating policies and procedures to align with best practices.
  • Leading safety initiatives, including new starter inductions, staff training, and development programs to embed a positive safety culture.
  • Monitoring operations, facilities, and plant to ensure safe systems of work are in place and addressing incidents with appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

The successful Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor will possess:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification (essential) & membership of IOSH
  • Proven experience in a high-risk industry, with knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
