The role will report to and work closely with the Group HSE Manager on a range of activities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupporting the HSE Department to ensure HSE is integral to, and proactively managed throughout, all phases of the project and operations lifecycle and ensuring accurate reportingDelivery of the HSE operations and tactical plan across the groupProvides site inductions to all site personnel and visitorsProviding support for the investigation of accidents and incidents to address root causes and prevent re-occurrenceDelivering site assurance activities, developing front line HSE inspections programme and conducting internal audit activities to demonstrate compliance with ISO Standards & the BIG HSE Management SystemTrained COSHH & PUWER assessor and conducts COSHH/PUWER assessments for site-based activitiesStrong understanding of Permit for Work processes and reviews risk assessments and method statements accordinglyREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCESWe are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Waste-to-Energy field.We would however expect suitable applicants to have prior experiences of at least some of the following;Proven experience in an HSE role, working across operating plantsNEBOSH General Certificate qualification (minimum)Demonstrable appreciation of HSE procedures and best practiceExperience of working to detailed plans, reports and programsExperience supervising contractorsExperience providing direct planned and responsive support to site-based staff on all aspects of HSEPlease note that we do not welcome any agency / 3rd party involvement or approaches on this vacancy until a time we deem to be suitable and at which point we will work with our preferred suppliers only.
