One of the Uk's leading engineering and construction companies are currently seeking a Health & Safety manager to work on site in North London on a HS2 project to play a vital role working within the business to promote and encourage a positive 'Safety first' culture at all levels both within the Business and with existing and new clients.
The main aim is to manage H&S processes, raise awareness and best practice in H&S operationally and to work closely with the Head of Health and Safety to agree strategy, targets, objectives and to report any areas of improvement.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years rail experience , a NEBOSH or general safety certificate and it is ideal not essential to have a PTS qualification.
Some of your Responsibilities are listed but not limited to:
* Carrying out inspections and deliver safety awareness briefings, stand downs and training.
* Supporting the Bid department by providing H&S data and knowledge when tendering for Projects.
* Providing professional support and knowledge of the discipline to the BID team in compiling HSQE responses in winning work
*taking ownership of developing a programme of site visits, ensuring all sites are visited/audited
