ARC is currently looking for a Health & Safety Professional in Wrexham for 6 months industrial work.
10 hours paid per day.
Digs will be booked by client.

Scope of Work: Health and Safety Professional - Welding Operations (Internal Code: H0012)
Position Overview: The Health and Safety Professional will be primarily responsible for overseeing the safety of all welding operations on the construction site. This role involves managing health and safety protocols specifically related to welding, with a focus on ensuring safe practices during the installation of pipe works. The position covers a site with up to 100 personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures specific to welding operations in line with industry regulations.
Oversee all welding activities, including TIG, MIG, Arc, and in-situ welding, ensuring they are conducted safely and in compliance with standards.
Conduct regular inspections of welding areas, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and enforce corrective measures.
Provide health and safety training and guidance to welders and other site personnel, with a focus on safe welding practices.
Investigate and report on any welding-related accidents, incidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain accurate records of health and safety inspections, incidents, and training related to welding operations.
Collaborate with the site supervisor, Quality Control Welding Inspector, and other key personnel to ensure safe work practices are maintained throughout the project.
Ensure all safety equipment, including welding shields and protective gear, are in place and used correctly by welders.
Qualifications:
Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) with specialized knowledge in welding safety.
Proven experience as a Health and Safety professional on construction sites, with a focus on managing the safety of welding operations.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations related to welding, particularly in the context of pipe work installation.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and guide welders on safety practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times, with a focus on welding safety.
