We are delighted to be working with RFL property Services to find an interim Healthcare Planner as a new role for the company. RFL property Services is a wholly owned subsidiary to the RFL NHS Trust and works with the hospital within the group and various national commissions to support estate development, project management and more.
About The Role
We are looking to recruit a Healthcare planner with a construction background. The candidate would ideally have a track record or experience of delivering some of the following healthcare planning services:
Population needs assessments
Activity modelling & capacity planning
Patient flow modelling
Service model development
Preparing Schedules of Accommodation and adjacency matrices
This role, with a focus on Healthcare Planning, would be able to demonstrate a strong track record in undertaking many of the technical aspects of a healthcare planner, using the RIBA stages, including: needs assessment, healthcare capacity planning, development of functional content and schedules of accommodation for new healthcare infrastructure, healthcare equipment listing, and the development of clinical briefs and operational output specifications to support healthcare business case developments.
Our clients comprises a wide range of health-related professionals including clinicians, healthcare management consultants and programme and project managers. We cover service redesign and reconfiguration, strategic healthcare planning, evaluation, productivity improvements, impact assessments, change management (including digital interventions) and information analysis and modelling.
About You
The role of Healthcare Planner (Construction) would be focussed primarily on delivering some or all of these commission types, with a particular emphasis on leading the technical healthcare planning in healthcare system and hospital design projects and in offering our clients more imaginative service offers to suit their needs.
Qualifications / skills
Degree/ Masters level or equivalent
Relevant experience in the NHS or healthcare consultancy environment, with an emphasis on healthcare facility planning
Track record in leading and supporting the delivery of complex projects in healthcare on time and on budget
Can demonstrate examples of problem-solving skills to achieve delivery of a solution or outcome
Excellent report writing experience, appropriate to different audiences
Experience of supporting business development opportunities, for example, developing new client relationships, writing proposals, business cases
Experience of being client facing
Effective interpersonal skills
Capable of working autonomously or as part of a team
This is an immediate requirement on a competitive daily rate (outside of IR35.)
