Heating Engineer (Air Source Heat Pump)

Please do not apply for multiple locations.We're recruiting Plumbing and Heating Engineers to install our Air Source Heat Pumps.We're looking for passionate people who have worked on the installation of heating systems to join us in making the transition to renewables. As the lead Heat Pump Engineer, you'll work closely with a Low Carbon Heating Support Engineer to install Heat Pumps in your area. AtOctopus Energy Services, we put the customers experience at high priority, so youll carry out the work cleanly and respectfully at their property.What you'll doWork as part of a team to install low carbon technology in customers homes -starting with Air Source Heat PumpsLearn about new technologies and get exciting training in our innovative £10m training centre; giving you the confidence to install the kit, to find solutions to challenges and to share low carbon advice with our customersUse your knowledge and experience of heat pump installations to deliver an amazing experienceReview and collaborate on technical specifications and mechanical drawingsWork with an electrician to commission Air Source Heat PumpsLead your team; be responsible for your crew and empower them to make on-the-fly decisions to do whats right for you and your customersWhat you'll needG3 (unvented cylinder) qualification OR proven experienceExperience in the installation of boilers and it's a plus if you know about air source heat pumpsExperience as a plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find. Youll also have domestic hot & cold water system knowledgeFull UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)You may also have qualifications such as WRAS Water Supply Regs, Gas safe certification, UHW10/HWSS or the BPEC L3 heat pump installation, but these are not essential!What we offerBasic salary £38,000 per yearOvertime/on-call availableOn target earnings £45,000 + London weighting if living within M25)£2,500 annual performance bonusShare Options in Octopus Energy£25 per week lunch allowanceTraining programme at our groundbreaking R&D centreUse of company toolsUniform and all PPECompany Vehicle and fuelSupport for personal development in Renewable TechWhy else you'll love it hereWondering what the salary for this role is?Just ask us!
