Location: Radlett, Hertfordshire
Salary: �38,000 - �45,000 per year (Class 2 Drivers start at �36K)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (occasional overtime)

We are recruiting on the behalf of a high-end vehicle delivery company based in Radlett who deliver prestige vehicles across the UK and Europe in covered 6-car transporters.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver living within commuting distance of Radlett to join an established logistics team.

Exemplary Class-2 Drivers may be considered, provided they wish to advance to Class-1 driving in the future (at the company's expense after the probation period).

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of new cars to various locations via a 6-car enclosed truck.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and effective time management. Experience with car transporters is advantageous, as you will deliver new cars to customers, businesses, events, and dealerships in covered transporters.

The key tasks that the successful candidate will be undertaking are:

• Operate an HGV truck in compliance with all relevant traffic laws and regulations.


• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cars on transporter deliveries.


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.


• Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each trip.


• Communicate effectively with planners and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.


• Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and during loading/unloading processes.


• Provide exceptional customer service during handovers, ensuring client satisfaction.

What kind of person we are looking for?:

The successful candidate will need to hold a valid C+E (Class 1) driving licence and have a minimum of 1 years driving experience and no more than 6 points for minor SP offences this is for insurance purposes, a valid CPC and tacho card is also required.

Candidates will have a DBS check completed on them and will undergo a drug and alcohol test and will need to demonstrate their ability to:

• Proven experience as a car transporter driver or in a similar role (training provided if necessary).


• Familiarity with car transporter operations is a plus.


• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.


• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.


• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.


• Valid Tacho Card.


• Ability to pass a Drugs and Alcohol test.


• Ability to pass any required background checks or assessments related to driving history.

This role would be suitable for class 1 drivers, car transporter drivers, CE drivers, C+E drivers, 11+ drivers, class 2 drivers, C drivers, 6 car transporter drivers.
