About the Role:
M4 Recruitment is seeking skilled and dedicated Class 1 Trunking Drivers for our esteemed client based in Colnbrook. This role is pivotal to our clients logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and timely transport of goods across various locations. As a Class 1 Trunking Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) for long-distance hauls, primarily focusing on trunking the process of transporting goods between depots and distribution centers. This position demands a high level of professionalism, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Operations: Execute trunking routes as assigned, ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time.
Vehicle Management: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe driving record.
Documentation: Accurately complete and manage all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, logbooks, and compliance reports.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with the logistics team to provide updates on delivery progress, any potential delays, or issues encountered on the road.
Customer Service: Represent the company professionally, providing excellent service to clients and acting as an ambassador for the business
Requirements:
Valid UK Class 1 Driving License.
Minimum of 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
No more than 6 endorsement points on your driving license.
Clean DBS check (no criminal record).
Level D / Cargo Operative training (can be completed online).
Ability to provide a 5-year work history for background verification.
