Challenge-trg is recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers for our client based in Widnes.

store deliveries.

We are recruiting for our Christmas peak 20.12.2024 - 24.12.2024 as a minimum.

This will be in Challenge transport and distribution units - so no assessment required

There are various start times available with a current average shift length of 11 - 13 hours.

20.12 - require 15 drivers between 14.00 and 22.00 start times

21.12 - require 15 drivers between 14.00 and 22.00 start times

22.12 - require 15 drivers between 14.00 and 22.00 start times

24.12 - require 15 drivers between 09.00 - 13.00 start times

there will be additional shifts available but we can definitely book you on the above requirements.

Rates of pay:

RUH pay - - holidays included in hourly rate

Days; �20.45 Nights: �21.29 Sat: �22.13 Sun: �22.97

LTD Payments:

Days: �23.30 Nights: �24.30 Sat: �25.30 Sun: �26.30

PAYE - holidays accrued:

Days �18.25 Nights: �19.00 Sat: �19.75 Sun: �20.50

What the HGV Class 1 driver can expect:

Weekly Pay

Guaranteed minimum shift payment of 8 hours

Hourly Pay

24-hour assistance night operation team

The Requirements from the HGV Class 1 Driver

  • A full Class 1 HGV Licence
  • A valid Drivers CPC Card
  • A digital tachograph card
  • A full understanding of WTD legislation
  • Reliable and excellent time keeping
  • Flexible with start times & working days
