Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers with immediate starts for our client based in Dagenham.
PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:
Monday to Friday - £17.81 per hour
Saturday - £20.05 per hour
Sunday - £21.15 per hour
Assessments available immediately, including a D&A test, driving assessment, and road legislation questionnaire.
Your Time at Work
As an HGV Class 1 driver, you will be delivering products to various locations across London, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Norfolk, and Suffolk, with some routes extending to Oxford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, and Stevenage.
The role requires completing between 15 and 30 drops per day, with shifts starting between 00:00 and 05:00 and an average of 12 hours per day.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading your own vehicle in route order and handling bread baskets with the provided metal hook
- Performing vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring tachograph manual entries are made accurately and tachograph cards are downloaded before and after each shift
- Completing daily declarations confirming availability to work
Our Perfect Worker
To apply as an HGV / LGV Class 1 driver at this site, you will require:
- 6 months or equivalent HGV driving experience
- No more than 6 points
- Digi card and DCPC with UK licence
- Interviews will be held immediately
