HGV Class 2 Dustcart

We're looking for a Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join a well-established waste management company in Epping. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a competitive salary and the chance to secure a long-term role.

Salary: £49,400 per year/ hourly pay (Basic - £16.95 per hour as well as your holiday - £2.05 per hour)

About the Role:

As a Dustcart Driver, you will be responsible for collecting waste from a range of business addresses across the area. This is a hands-on role that involves more than just driving-you will also be required to:

• Safely operate a Class 2 Dustcart, ensuring compliance with all road safety and waste management regulations.
• Collect and transport commercial waste, including maneuvering large commercial waste bins to and from the vehicle.
• Operate a tail lift to safely load and unload waste bins.
• Work independently, managing your route efficiently to ensure all collections are completed on time.
• Handle general waste and recycling, meaning you must be comfortable working in an environment where you will be exposed to refuse waste, including potential odors.
• Carry out basic vehicle safety checks before and after each shift, reporting any issues promptly.

This role is ideal for an experienced waste management driver who is physically fit, self-motivated, reliable and based locally to the area of Harlow.

Shift Pattern:

You must be available to work both shift patterns on a weekly rota:

• 03:30 - 13:30
• 12:00 - 22:00
• Any five days between Monday and Saturday.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in waste management/dustcart driving
• Licence: Class 2 (held for at least 3 years)
• Penalty Points: No more than 6 points (for minor offences only - no DD, DR, TT, CD offences)
• Certifications: Valid Digital Tacho & Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Flexibility: You must be able to commit to both shifts as part of the weekly rota
• Skills: Ability to safely operate a tail lift for handling waste bins
