We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitterwho has experience as an HGV Fitter/Mechanic, dealing with fault diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, hydraulics and FORS knowledge.
Working as the HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitter you will join the growing team to repair and maintain the companys fleet of HGVs, trailers and vans.
As the HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitter you will be based in a busy workshop environment.

DUTIES
Your duties as an HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitterinclude:
All levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics
You must be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion
Work with a Transport Manager
MOT Prep & Presentation for 6 or 8 weekly inspections
LGV Trailer repairs & Preparation
Van Servicing (Connect, Custom, Transit
Type vans)
Service and repair on a large fleet of excavators, dumpers, general & heavy plant
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
FORS knowledge
Experience dealing with hydraulics
Experience working as an HGV Mechanic/Techncian/Fitter
Desirable: Be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent, time served
Having a C + E (class 1) driving licence is beneficial but not essential
Industry leading training (IRTEC)
