HGV Mechanic / Workshop Fitter / Technician – West Sussex – up to £45,000

• Do you have previous experience working as a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/ Technician in LGV/HGV or similar vehicle maintenance?

We are recruiting a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/ Technician for leading logistics company based in West Sussex. This is an additional role to a growing team in a well-established family run company that has been around for over 40 years. This company are the largest single supplier of transport services in their popular industry operating across Europe and the UK.

The Job roles and Responsibilities:

As a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/ Technician you will have the following job roles and responsibilities:

• To look after the defects, MOT prep and servicing of vehicles


• Ensure the repair and upkeep of Mega Cube Tandem Axle Box Trailers and DAF Tractor units


• Maintain records on work carried out with job cards and record on the computer


• Set up purchase orders for stock and parts


• Fortnightly visits to local depots for service and inspection of trailers

The requirements:

To be suitable for the position of Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/ Technician you will ideally have the following:

• Experience of working as a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic in LGV/HGV or similar vehicle


• Hold a full driving licence


• Computer literate

The Package:

The successful candidate for the role of Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/ Technician will receive the following package:

• Salary up to £45,000


• On site parking


• Workwear provided


• Monday to Friday – 8am to 5.30pm


• 20 days holidays + Bank Holidays


• Workplace pension
