The Challenge As the shift supervisor you will be responsible for
Supervise a team of HGV Technicians, ensuring top-quality work and productivity.
Organise workloads, schedule jobs, and keep operations running smoothly.
Maximise shift performance through problem-solving, coaching, and team development.
Perform hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
Ensure compliance with DVSA, Health & Safety standards, and VOSA regulations.
Mentor and support team members to enhance skills and performance.
Provide progress updates to management and ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct routine maintenance, safety checks, and prepare vehicles for MOT.
Sign off on My Check documents and carry out quality control on repairs.
Maintain workshop housekeeping and ensure adherence to H&S standards.
Attend required training courses to stay up-to-date.

What were looking for Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an HGV workshop
Strong knowledge of diagnostic, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
