Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Dudley

Salary: £48,000 OTE (negotiable depending on experience)

Shift Patterns: 6:00 - 16:00 & 16:00 - 02:00 (day and night shift available)

We are recruiting for our award-winning client, specialising in providing roadside assistance and vehicle recoveries. For the last 40 years they have been a trusted partner for both the commercial and private customers providing around the clock support 365 days a year.

We are looking for an experienced HGV Workshop Technician to join their team based in Tipton to provide mechanical assistance across their entire fleet. They will be expected to service, repair, maintain and carry out any necessary works to their vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• A wide variety of servicing and repair work.
• Contribute towards effective "preventative maintenance".
• Prepare and submit vehicles to a standard appropriate for the issuing of an annual test certificate.
• Liaise with part suppliers to ensure correct parts are issued to complete jobs efficiently and within the requirement timescale.
• Accurately complete relevant paperwork including job card and service sheets using online systems to the required standard.
• Ensure ISO & Health and Safety regulations are Adhered to at all times.

Qualification/experience:

• City & Guilds Level 1-3/ NVQ Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Extensive understanding of HGVs including diagnostics and fault finding.
• HGV class 2 Licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers, driver and control.
