High Voltage Engineer

Location: Snowdonia, Wales

Salary: �50,000 - 65,000

Are you a seasoned High Voltage Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? For over 30 years, our client has been an industry leader in delivering major rail and highways infrastructure projects in the UK. Their impressive portfolio showcases their ability to successfully complete projects in the most challenging and restricted environments.

Due to growth, they are seeking a talented High Voltage Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the High Voltage (HV) Cable and HV Plant subcontractors, ensuring all works comply with relevant requirements.
  • Oversee HV and MEP designer and subcontractor design activities to ensure timely completion and compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor packages, review and manage cost and value forecasts, and ensure all commercial requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with various project teams to develop and maintain the project programme, ensuring all works comply with specifications and commercial requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental sustainability, and quality compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in high voltage projects, preferably on National Grid (NG) Projects involving 400kV and 132kV circuits.
  • Proficient in design and build projects, with substantial construction and design experience.
  • Familiarity with National Grid Transmission Procedures, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor Duties, and Digital Engineering practices.
  • CSCS Management card and a wide-ranging understanding of construction methods and outputs
  • Design and influence solutions to address inefficiencies and promote continuous improvement
  • Take personal responsibility for delivering services, pursue a "can-do" attitude, and learn from experiences to ensure improved delivery.
