Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary
Full time school hours – Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm

Vision for education for an education company operating in the heart of Cardiff. We are actively recruiting for an individual to work as a teaching assistant in a local primary school here in Pentyrch. The school have been rated as ‘outstanding’ by ESTYN and are looking for someone to join their dynamic team.
The role would involve supporting pupils across the key stages. You would need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to compliment this role.
The school are looking for someone to compliment the school ethos and help provide the best education experience for their learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a HLTA you would be working with all key stages across the school
- Often stepping up to cover the classes when there is short term teacher absence
- Work on a 1:1 and small group basis to engage pupils in their learning
- Support the class teacher with a variety of tasks and prepare for the day
- Supervise the children through lunch breaks
- General administrative duties
- Work as part of a dynamic team and contribute towards the schools culture & ethos
- Be passionate about providing children with the best education experience
What we look for in you?
- A higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification
- An enthusiastic individual with a passion for education
- An interest in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning
- Experience of working with children and young people
- An ability to effectively and positively manage challenging behaviour
- Professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT proficiency
- The ability to speak Welsh (preferred, not essential)
