Career Teachers are currently looking for an experienced and passionate individual to support as Higher Level Teaching Assistant within a Specialist School in Walthamstow.

You will be supporting KS1 & KS2 students.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication
  • Engagement skills as well as, a dedication to ongoing learning, and a passion for enhancing the students' experience are essential.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a firm commitment to safeguarding and child welfare and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively to assist SEND students with their unique requirements.

Details of Position:

  • Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Walthamstow
  • Contract: Full Time, Long Term
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Salary Range: �75 -�100 daily rate (dependent on experience)
  • Start Date: ASAP

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Teaching/supporting students with special educational needs in their daily activities.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure students' well-being.
  • Document and communicate students' progress.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience within a school or similar setting.
  • Relevant HLTA/Teaching Qualifications (QTS)
  • Understanding of SEND and best practice.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Right to work in the UK.
