Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Job Description:
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a vital role in supporting both students and teachers. Your role will include assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons, supporting students with their learning, and providing targeted interventions to ensure every child can thrive academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver lessons across different subjects, provide personalised support for students, particularly those with special educational needs, and create an encouraging learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons across various subjects, actively engaging in the learning process.
– Provide tailored support to students, including those with special educational needs, to aid their academic progress.
– Lead and support small group interventions for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students.
– Motivate and engage all students, fostering a positive learning environment.
– Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
– Manage time effectively and handle a busy schedule with initiative.
– Exhibit patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude when facing challenges.
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in an educational setting is desirable.
– Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
– Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for helping students overcome challenges.
Qualifications:
– Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
– Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education.
– HLTA qualifications preferred.
